Boards

 Metropolitan A.M.E. Zion church operates spiritually, administratively and financially through the collaboration of its boards and ministries under the leadership of its Pastor.

Trustees

The Trustee Board is the legal board of the church. The Board’s basic responsibility deals with housing, oversight of the church property and to see that order and decorum are observed in the church. The Board has oversight over the purchase, upkeep, maintenance and use of church property. They are the
requesting body for vendors to service the needs of church property and grounds.

Steward

The Steward Board is the financial board of the church and one of its major responsibilities is  management of the church’s finances. The Steward Board’s mission is: “To glorify God in all we do, to take care of the welfare of the Pastor and his family, to be good managers of the finances of the church, to remain faithful in our commitment as stewards as outlined in our Book of the Discipline.” It is charged with caring for the Pastor and the pastor’s family and guiding the spiritual well-being of the church.

Deaconess

The Deaconess Board is one of three consecrated positions in the A.M.E. Zion church. The Deaconess responsibilities are to assist the Pastor with the Holy Communion, baptism, to encourage and improve the general interest of the church and minister to the needs of the congregation
